Anti-Discrimination Cell

About the Committee

The Anti-Discrimination Cell safeguards students from any form of discrimination based on caste, religion, gender, socioeconomic background, or disability. The cell ensures equal opportunities for all and addresses grievances related to unfair treatment or violation of students' rights, in accordance with applicable laws and institutional policies.

Objectives
  • Ensure equal treatment of all students regardless of caste, religion, gender, or disability.
  • Address complaints of discrimination in a fair and timely manner.
  • Foster an inclusive and respectful academic culture on campus.
  • Implement UGC/PCI guidelines on non-discrimination and equal opportunity.
  • Prevent any form of prejudice or bias in academic and co-curricular activities.
Key Activities
  • Receiving and reviewing discrimination complaints from students and staff.
  • Conducting inclusive education workshops and sensitization programs.
  • Collaborating with the SC/ST Committee on issues affecting reserved category students.
  • Monitoring campus culture for discriminatory practices.
  • Recommending policy improvements to promote equal opportunity.

How to Submit a Complaint / Concern
  1. Submit a written complaint describing the incident to the Anti-Discrimination Cell Coordinator.
  2. Complaints can also be submitted verbally; the cell will record the details.
  3. The cell will investigate the complaint impartially within 10 working days.
  4. All complaints are treated with strict confidentiality to protect the complainant.
