About the Committee

The SC/ST Committee ensures that students belonging to Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes receive equal opportunities and support in academic, administrative, and co-curricular activities. The committee monitors the implementation of government policies, provides guidance on scholarships, and addresses issues related to discrimination or academic challenges faced by SC/ST students.

Objectives
  • Safeguard the rights and interests of SC/ST students on campus.
  • Monitor the effective implementation of government reservation policies.
  • Prevent caste-based discrimination and ensure equal treatment.
  • Provide academic, financial, and personal guidance to SC/ST students.
  • Facilitate awareness about government schemes and scholarship opportunities.
Key Activities
  • Monitoring enrollment and academic progress of SC/ST students.
  • Guiding students on scholarship applications and government benefit schemes.
  • Receiving and addressing complaints of caste-based discrimination.
  • Organizing awareness sessions on rights, entitlements, and support systems.
  • Liaising with the Anti-Discrimination Cell for integrated support.

How to Submit a Complaint / Concern
  1. Submit a written complaint to the SC/ST Liaison Officer or the Principal's office.
  2. Describe the incident clearly, including dates, witnesses, and any evidence.
  3. The committee will acknowledge and begin inquiry within 5 working days.
  4. All complaints are treated with confidentiality and sensitivity.
