Gender Sensitization Cell

About the Committee

The Gender Sensitization Cell works towards creating an inclusive and equitable campus by promoting respect, safety, and gender sensitivity among students and staff. The cell organizes awareness programs, workshops, and counselling sessions to prevent gender-based discrimination and ensure a healthy academic environment for everyone.

Objectives
  • Promote gender equality, mutual respect, and dignity on campus.
  • Create awareness about gender-based discrimination and violence.
  • Sensitize students and staff on gender-related issues through education.
  • Foster an inclusive environment where everyone feels safe and valued.
  • Support students who experience gender-based harassment or bias.
Key Activities
  • Organizing workshops, seminars, and awareness programs on gender sensitivity.
  • Conducting counselling sessions for students facing gender-related issues.
  • Celebrating important days such as International Women's Day and Menstrual Hygiene Day.
  • Distributing awareness materials and resources on campus.
  • Collaborating with the ICC to address gender-related complaints.

How to Submit a Complaint / Concern
  1. Approach any member of the Gender Sensitization Cell directly or in writing.
  2. Submit a written complaint to the Cell Coordinator or the Principal's office.
  3. All concerns are handled with complete confidentiality and sensitivity.
  4. The cell will acknowledge receipt and respond within 7 working days.
