What is B.Pharm
Lateral Entry?
B.Pharm Lateral Entry is a special admission
scheme that allows eligible Diploma in Pharmacy (D.Pharm) holders to join the
second year of the B.Pharm programme. The curriculum builds upon the knowledge
gained during D.Pharm and provides advanced education in pharmaceutical
sciences, research, clinical pharmacy, industrial pharmacy, pharmacology,
medicinal chemistry, pharmacognosy, and pharmacy practice. Admission is
available only in institutions approved for lateral entry intake under
applicable regulations.
Eligibility for
Gujarat
Candidates must satisfy the following
conditions:
- Must have passed Diploma in Pharmacy (D.Pharm)
from an institution approved by the Pharmacy Council of India (PCI).
- Must fulfil the eligibility criteria prescribed
by ACPC Gujarat.
- Admission is offered through the Diploma to
Degree (D2D) Pharmacy admission process.
- Candidates should complete online registration
within the schedule announced by ACPC

Lateral Entry Admission Process (ACPC 2026)
The admission process generally includes the
following steps:
1. Online
Registration on the ACPC portal.
2. Upload
Required Documents online.
3. Payment
of Registration Fee.
4. Merit
List Declaration by ACPC.
5. Online
Choice Filling of preferred pharmacy colleges.
6. Seat
Allotment based on merit, category, and seat availability.
7. Payment
of Token Tuition Fee.
8. Reporting
to the Allotted Institute for final admission confirmation.
