A.
New Registration for
Pharmacists in Gujarat
Eligibility
Criteria:
An individual who meets
the following criteria is eligible for registration with the Gujarat State
Pharmacy Council:
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Must have successfully completed a
Diploma (D.Pharm), Degree (B.Pharm), or Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D) from
a Pharmacy Council of India (PCI)-approved institution.
- Must be either a resident of Gujarat
or engaged in the profession or business of pharmacy within the state.
- Must complete the prescribed fee
payment for registration.
Application
Process:
- Online Document Upload – Applicants must create an
account on the official website www.gujaratpharmacycouncil.org,
navigate to the Fresh Registration section, and upload the required
documents.
- Appointment Booking – After uploading the documents,
candidates must schedule an appointment for in-person document
verification.
- In-Person Verification – Applicants must visit the
Gujarat State Pharmacy Council office with their original documents for
verification.

Required for Registration:
Applicants must upload
the following documents while applying for fresh registration after completing
D.Pharm, B.Pharm, or Pharm.D from a PCI-approved institution in Gujarat :
- Proof of Name Change (if applicable)
- For female applicants (after
marriage) : Marriage certificate.
- For other cases:
Gazette notification reflecting the name change.
- Proof of Birth Date & Birthplace
Applicants must provide
any one of the following:
- School/College Leaving Certificate.
- SSC Board Certificate.
- Birth Certificate issued by a
competent authority.
- Proof of Residence in Gujarat
The applicant must
provide any one of the following documents as proof of residence :
- Electricity or Telephone Bill (in
the name of parents/grandparents).
- LIC Policy of the candidate.
- Election Card of the candidate.
- Tax Bill from Panchayat, Nagar
Palika, or Municipal Corporation.
- Passport of the candidate.
- Identity Proof
- Aadhar Card.
- Academic Qualification Documents
- SSC & HSC Marksheets and
Certificate (based on which admission to D.Pharm/B.Pharm/Pharm.D was
granted).
- College Bonafide/Course Completion
Certificate or College Leaving Certificate (indicating the duration of
pharmacy studies).
- Mark sheets of all semesters/years
of the Diploma/Degree/Pharm.D program.
- Degree/Diploma Certificate issued by
the University/Board (Provisional Certificate is acceptable if the final
degree certificate is not yet issued).
- Practical Training Completion
Certificate
- For D.Pharm : Practical
Training Completion Certificate (duly filled Sections I-V, with the
Principal’s signature and institute’s seal on Section V).
- For B.Pharm : 1-month
industrial training after course completion.
- Proof of Employment or Business
Applicants must provide
any one of the following :
- For employed candidates : Employer’s
Certificate specifying tenure, designation, headquarters, salary, and the
company’s drug license number (if applicable).
- For self-employed candidates : A
self-declaration letter on the official letterhead of the firm/company.

Process
Registered pharmacists
can renew their registration through the Gujarat State Pharmacy Council by
choosing one of the following renewal options:
- Annual Renewal : ₹200/-
(Rupees Two Hundred Only)
- Five-Year Renewal : ₹600/-
(Rupees Six Hundred Only)

Timeline
Renewal payments must be
made between 1st January and 31st March of the year following the registration
expiry.

Re-Entry Application
for Pharmacist Registration
If a Registered
Pharmacist fails to renew their registration before 31st March of the due year,
their name is removed from the Register of Pharmacists as per the provisions of
the Pharmacy Act, 1948, and the associated rules.
Pharmacists who wish to restore their registration must apply for re-entry
through the online portal.

submitted online through the Gujarat Pharmacy Council Portal.
- Applicants must log in to their
account and upload the required documents.

GOOD STANDING
CERTIFICATE APPLICATION
A Registered Pharmacist
who has migrated or intends to migrate to a foreign country for the purpose of
obtaining pharmacy licensure/registration to practice as a pharmacist, or for
admission to a pharmacy institution in that country, may require a Good Standing
Certificate from the Gujarat State Pharmacy Council.
Pharmacists who need this
certificate to present before the relevant authority must apply online through
our portal by logging into their account and paying the prescribed fee.

Change In Registered
Name
If a registered
pharmacist undergoes a name change- whether due to marriage or any other
reason- they must submit an online application along with the necessary
supporting documents to authenticate the change.
Additionally, the
applicant is required to return the original registration certificate to the
council. Upon successful verification of the application and receipt of the
original certificate, a new registration certificate will be issued and
delivered within 30 days.

Change In Address
If a registered
pharmacist wishes to update their residential or correspondence address, they
must submit an online application along with valid proof of the new address.

G.
Transfer of Registration to Gujarat
Pharmacists who are currently registered with any other State Pharmacy
Council and have taken up residence in Gujarat, with the intention to practice
or conduct business in pharmacy, are required to apply for a transfer of
registration to the Gujarat State Pharmacy Council (GSPC).
To initiate this process, applicants must create an account on the
GSPC website and fill out the “Transfer of Registration” application
available on their dashboard. All necessary documents must be uploaded during
this application process.
Once the uploaded documents are reviewed and found satisfactory by the
Council, the applicant will be eligible to book an appointment for in-person
document verification.
The application fee can be paid online only after the original
documents are verified during the appointment.
Please note: The
transfer of registration will only be completed upon receipt of a No Objection
Certificate (NOC) from the applicant's previous State Pharmacy Council.
