Pharmacy Education Loan and Scholarship Guide 2026 , For B.Pharm and D.Pharm Students.

Cost should not be a barrier to pharmacy education. Between government scholarships, bank education loans, and institutional fee structures, there are multiple ways to fund your B. Pharm or D. Pharm studies. This guide covers every major financial support option available to pharmacy students in Gujarat and India for the 2026-27 academic year.

Government scholarships

1. Central Sector Scholarship for College and University Students:-

For: Students from families with income below Rs 8 LPA

Requirement: Must score above 80th percentile in 12th board exam

Amount: Rs 20,000 per year for professional courses

Apply through: National Scholarship Portal at scholarships.gov.in

2. Pragati Scholarship (AICTE) — For Girls:-

For: Female students in AICTE-approved technical courses including pharmacy

Amount: Rs 50,000 per year (tuition) + Rs 2,000 per month for incidentals

Income limit: Rs 8 LPA

3. Saksham Scholarship (AICTE) — For Differently-Abled Students:-

For: Students with 40%+ disability in AICTE-approved courses

Amount: Rs 50,000 per year + Rs 2,000 per month

Income limit: Rs 8 LPA

4. Prime Minister’s Special Scholarship Scheme (PMSSS)

For: Students from Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh

Coverage: Full tuition (up to Rs 3 LPA) + maintenance allowance

Apply through: AICTE PMSSS portal

5. MYSY (Gujarat state):-

For: General category and EWS students only

Eligibilty: student should pass 10^th and 12^th with 80 percentile from Gujarat.

Coverage: Rs  50,000

Income Limit: 6 Lakh

 6. Digital Gujarat Scholarship Portal:-

For: SC, ST, OBC, SEBC

Coverage: Digital Gujarat covers tuition fees, monthly maintenance allowance, hostel charges, and books/equipment for SC/ST/OBC/SEBC/Minority pharmacy students based on category-specific income limits.
